METEX has recently moved into a pre-industrial pilot phase to produce a new source of bio PDO.
This non-petroleum specialty glycol is obtained thanks to a fermentation of industrial raw glycerol.
1,3 PropaneDiOl (PDO)
Benefits and Attributes:
- the best cost competitive alternative to other sources of PDO production
- high purity standard (superior to 99.5%)
- made from a renewable source, the glycerin
This new source of bio PDO can be used in the coating's industry as soft segment building blocks or reactive diluent to increase film properties and also reduce VOC. |
